Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be organised, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. Previous experience in care environments is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and professional environment.

Duties

Assist with daily personal care routines such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Support clients with mobility and movement around the home or care facility
Help with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
Follow individualised care plans to meet specific health and wellbeing needs
Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client conditions
Support clients in engaging with social activities and maintaining independence
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Assist with light domestic tasks to promote a safe and comfortable environment
Use IT systems to document care activities and update client records accurately

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when required
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Basic IT literacy for record keeping and communication purposes
Driving licence is desirable for roles involving home care visits
Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential
Knowledge of care plans and procedures to deliver personalised support effectively

This role requires a caring attitude, reliability, and the ability to adapt to the needs of each individual. Candidates should be committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and confidentiality at all times.

Pay: £13.55 per hour
