Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food, exceptional leadership skills, and extensive experience in kitchen operations. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes that meet our standards of excellence. The Chef will play a vital role in maintaining food safety, fostering a positive team environment, and delivering an outstanding dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, maintaining consistency and presentation standards.
Oversee food safety procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen operations.
Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, considering current culinary trends.
Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times.
Assist in serving guests when necessary, providing excellent customer service.
Monitor food quality throughout the preparation process to uphold high standards.

Requirements

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within hospitality or restaurant settings.
Supervising experience with strong team management skills.
Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
Strong understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality sectors is highly desirable.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
A genuine passion for culinary arts and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Pay: £12.00-£15.00 per hour
