Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Team Leader to oversee and coordinate care services within a care home environment at Melrose House Care Home In Southend on-sea. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, and maintaining effective communication with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. This role offers an opportunity to lead a compassionate team committed to enhancing the wellbeing of our residents through personalised care plans and professional leadership.

Duties

Lead and supervise a team of care assistants, ensuring the delivery of compassionate and professional care.
Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
Monitor daily operations within the care home, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Provide guidance and support to staff members, fostering a positive team environment through effective leadership.
Coordinate training sessions and ongoing professional development for team members.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure seamless care delivery.
Assist with organising schedules, delegating tasks, and managing staff rotas.
Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care and staff activities using IT systems.
Support residents with activities of daily living whilst promoting independence where possible.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all residents by adhering to policies and procedures.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a senior care or care home setting.
Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to motivate and guide team members.
Experience in developing and managing personalised care plans for diverse needs.
Ability to utilise IT systems effectively for documentation and reporting purposes.
Valid driving licence is desirable for facilitating transportation or external appointments.
Knowledge of senior care practices, health & safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
Compassionate approach with a genuine commitment to providing high-quality resident care.

Pay: £14.00-£14.50 per hour
