37 hours per week

Your next role

We are looking for experienced and inspirational Employment Specialists who will provide information, advice and support to enable unemployed young people to access sustained employment.

Our Employment Specialists will support a caseload of participants to find and maintain paid employment or access training that will support their journey towards employment. They will work 1:1 with participants to:

Understand their skills abilities, interests, circumstances, goals and support needs
Provide information and advice about careers, employment and training opportunities
Develop a personalised action plan that builds trust and empowers the participant to move towards their planned goals (training, work or work experiences as appropriate) and ensure any support needs are met
Support with job searching, CV writing, job applications, and interview preparation
Support to access training and develop their skills and confidence
Signposting and support to access other services as appropriate
Ongoing review of progress against agreed action, including once young people are in work

We are particularly keen to receive applications that meet the essential criteria in the role profile for example:

Experience working with young people (16+), with the ability to identify their specific support needs and mentoring/tutoring them
Ability to support, inform, advise and motivate others using specialist knowledge, skills and expertise
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to help others understand how to access support and overcome barriers
Ability to engage confidently and sensitively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Strong ICT skills, including Microsoft Office and digital caseload management systems

You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).

Due to the nature of this role an enhanced DBS check will be required.
