The Role
You will plan, build and optimise customer communications across email, SMS, push notifications and other digital channels. Using customer data and behavioural insights, you will create targeted campaigns that drive participation in instant win games, increase engagement and improve customer retention.
You will work closely with Product, Marketing, Data and Customer Operations teams, and will embrace AI tools to improve campaign effectiveness, content creation and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
CRM Campaign Management
- Build, execute and optimise CRM campaigns across multiple channels.
- Deliver promotional campaigns supporting instant win games, competitions, prize launches and key business initiatives.
- Manage campaign calendars and ensure all communications go out accurately and on time.
- Conduct campaign testing and quality assurance before launch.
Customer Engagement & Retention
- Support development and optimisation of customer lifecycle journeys.
- Create personalised communications based on customer behaviour and engagement patterns.
- Identify opportunities to increase participation, retention and lifetime value.
- Support customer reactivation and retention campaigns.
Data & Insights
- Analyse customer behaviour, campaign performance and engagement trends.
- Produce reporting and actionable insights that support commercial decision-making.
- Monitor key CRM performance metrics and identify optimisation opportunities.
- Work with stakeholders to improve segmentation and targeting strategies.
AI & Content Creation
- Use AI tools to support campaign ideation, content creation and optimisation.
- Develop prompts and workflows that improve productivity and campaign performance.
- Test and refine messaging to improve engagement and conversion rates.
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies and marketing best practices.
Testing & Optimisation
- Execute A/B tests across messaging, creative, segmentation and customer journeys.
- Continuously improve campaign performance through experimentation and analysis.
- Share learnings and recommendations with the wider team.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- 2+ years in a CRM, lifecycle marketing or retention-focused role.
- Experience using CRM or marketing automation platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Experience building customer segments, automated journeys and targeted campaigns.
- Excellent written communication and copywriting skills.
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commercial mindset with a focus on measurable results.
Desirable
- Background in gaming, competitions, subscriptions, loyalty, rewards, e-commerce or other consumer-facing digital businesses.
- Experience with Dotdigital, Klaviyo, Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot or similar platforms.
- Experience with reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience running A/B testing and experimentation programmes.
