Warehouse Operative (Forklift Licensed)

Location: Site Based
Company: Hames Chocolates Ltd, Skegness
Job Type: Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, average 45 hours per week

Job Overview

Hames Chocolates Ltd is seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative with valid forklift licences to join our warehouse team. This is a hands-on, site-based role supporting the efficient storage, movement, and dispatch of goods within a busy chocolate manufacturing and distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently
Operating forklifts in line with health and safety regulations
Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
Moving stock and materials throughout the warehouse and production areas
Carrying out stock checks and inventory control duties
Ensuring warehouse areas are clean, organised, and safe at all times
Assisting with goods-in and goods-out processes
Supporting production and logistics teams as required
Following company procedures and health & safety policies

Requirements

Valid forklift licence(s) (Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck preferred)
Previous warehouse experience preferred (but not always essential)
Good understanding of warehouse health and safety practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Good communication and teamwork skills
Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to working hours
Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties
Basic mathematical skills

The successful candidate must be flexible, as working hours may include early starts or late finishes depending on business demand.
