Full job description

We’re on the lookout for a confident, hands-on Assistant General Manager to join the team at Margot in Parbold.

This is a key role within the business, with a particular focus on leading and growing our events and private hire offering—from baby showers and birthdays to a range of special occasions in our dedicated events space. You’ll take real ownership of these bookings, ensuring each one is delivered with care, attention, and a bit of flair.

What you’ll be doing:

Overseeing and delivering all private events from enquiry through to execution
Managing our events space and ensuring consistently high standards
Supporting the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the venue
Leading from the floor during busy service periods
Training, mentoring, and developing the team to deliver confident, polished service
Driving team performance, service quality, and guest experience

What we’re looking for:

Proven experience in a busy, high-quality restaurant environment
Strong operational knowledge of both floor and bar service
A natural host—organised, personable, and calm under pressure
Experience running events or private hires is highly desirable
A passion for developing people and building a strong, motivated team
A real eye for detail and pride in delivering memorable guest experiences
