Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Recovery Support Worker to join our team. This role involves providing personalised support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, with a focus on fostering recovery, resilience, and independence. The ideal candidate will have experience in mentoring and will be committed to making a positive difference in clients’ lives. This position offers an enriching opportunity to contribute to clients wellbeing.

Responsibilities

Deliver personalised support plans tailored to each individual's mental health needs
Assist clients in developing coping strategies and life skills to promote recovery
Provide mentoring and encouragement to empower clients in their journey towards independence
Support clients with daily activities, including socialisation, education, and employment pursuits
Facilitate group activities and educational sessions aimed at skill development and confidence building
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals and social workers
Maintain accurate records of client progress and support sessions in accordance with organisational policies
Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all clients

Requirements

Prior experience in mentoring or supporting individuals with mental health conditions
Strong communication skills
Empathy, patience, and excellent organisational abilities are essential
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Relevant qualifications or training related to mental health support are advantageous
A valid enhanced DBS on the update system is desirable but not essential
Enhanced DBS will be applied for upon offer of employment if one is not in place on the update system.

This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing professional skills in mental health support. We welcome applicants who are passionate about fostering recovery and resilience among those facing mental health challenges.

The shift pattern is 42 hpw based on a two weekly rotation.
Week 1 - Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun
Week 2 - Wed, Thurs, Fri

The shifts are 12 hours a mixture of 8am-8pm or 10am-10pm and all staff will be required to complete rotations onto waking night shifts on the same pattern of days working 8pm-8am.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.00 per hour
