Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support within their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring the well-being of those in their care. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing valuable skills in the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

Assist service users with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Support clients with mobility and transfer needs, ensuring safety at all times
Follow individual care plans to deliver personalised care tailored to each client’s needs
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in condition
Support clients with medication management.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ quality of life
Assist with light domestic duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care

Skills Needed:

Valid driving licence is desirable.
Experience working within a care home or home care setting is advantageous
Ability to understand and follow individualised care plans accurately
Good IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and communication records
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members
Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients
Organised and reliable, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
