Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Car Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive technology and a strong mechanical aptitude to develop their skills within a professional environment. The position involves working with various tools and equipment, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other vehicle components
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle parts
Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs and assembly processes
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and fluid replacements
Diagnose complex mechanical problems using specialised diagnostic equipment
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and offering maintenance advice
Lift heavy components safely during repair procedures to prevent injury or damage

Requirements

Proven experience in vehicle repair and maintenance with a solid understanding of mechanical systems
Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic charts
Strong knowledge of automotive mechanics, including engine systems, electrical systems, and welding techniques
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment efficiently and safely
Experience in assembly work within automotive or manufacturing environments is desirable
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs
Basic knowledge of equipment repair procedures and routine maintenance practices
