Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEND Tutor to provide personalised educational support to primary school aged male student who is currently not attending mainstream school . The successful candidate will work closely with the pupil, fostering a positive learning environment that encourages growth, confidence, and academic progress. This role offers an enriching opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child's educational journey through tailored teaching and support.

Duties

Deliver personalised tutoring sessions tailored to the specific needs of the pupil, focusing on their individual learning goals.
Develop and implement bespoke lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Monitor and record pupil progress, providing regular feedback to parents and relevant staff members.
Adapt teaching methods and resources to ensure accessibility and engagement for children with various special educational needs.
Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes confidence, independence, and motivation.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure consistency in the child's development plan.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and any behavioural or emotional concerns observed during sessions.

Requirements

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably within special education or working with children with additional needs.
Strong communication skills to effectively engage with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their individual development.
Knowledge of special educational needs frameworks and strategies is desirable but not essential; training will be provided where necessary.
Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the unique requirements of each child.
Organised, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting pupils' learning journeys.
Relevant qualifications in education or special education are advantageous but not mandatory.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: £25.00-£30.00 per hour
