Salon Receptionist — So.Shell (London)

So.Shell is a premium nail, brow, and pedicure salon brand with six stunning locations across London — Carnaby, Chelsea, Covent Garden, Battersea Power Station, Wimbledon, and Westfield White City. We've been featured in Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, and we're known for bringing the Ukrainian dry e-file manicure technique to discerning London clients. We're growing fast — and we're looking for a confident, sales-driven Salon Receptionist to be the face of one of our locations.

What you'll be doing
This isn't a "sit behind a desk" receptionist role. You'll be the engine of the salon — owning the client experience from the moment they walk through the door to the moment they leave already excited for their next visit.

Welcome clients like VIPs — greeting them by name, offering a drink, and personally introducing them to their technician
Build real relationships — reviewing client history, recommending services they'll love, and turning first-time visitors into loyal regulars
Keep the schedule humming — proactively filling gaps, managing the waiting list, and reaching out to clients to rebook
Champion our loyalty programme — sharing points balances, talking through our 5% cashback scheme, and helping clients fall in love with our homecare range
Resolve things on the spot — you'll have real authority to handle client concerns and complaints independently, without waiting on a manager
Keep the books balanced — handling daily payments and reconciliation with care and accuracy
Be a true partner to your technicians — motivating the team, tracking performance together, and creating a positive, professional salon environment
What we're looking for
A natural people-person with a warm, professional manner and excellent spoken English
Someone who takes initiative — you won't need to be told twice, and you're comfortable making decisions independently
A sales mindset — you see every client conversation as a chance to add value, not just "upsell"
Strong organisational skills and comfort with booking systems (experience with Zenoti preferred)
Reliability and a polished, professional presentation
Previous experience in a salon, hospitality, or retail environment is a plus, but a brilliant attitude matters more to us than a perfect CV
