Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the food service industry, particularly those looking to develop skills in food preparation, cooking, and hospitality environments. Prior experience is not essential, but a keen interest in culinary arts and team work is highly valued.

Responsibilities

Washing, cleaning, and sanitising all kitchen utensils, cookware, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision to support the kitchen team.
Ensuring all work areas are clean, organised, and free from hazards throughout shifts.
Supporting the delivery of high standards of cleanliness in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Assisting with stock organisation and storage to maintain an efficient workflow.
Supporting serving staff during busy periods by providing clean crockery and cutlery as needed.
Adhering to all hygiene protocols related to food safety and personal cleanliness.

Skills

Experience or familiarity with food preparation and cooking processes is advantageous but not essential.
Previous experience working in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable.
Knowledge of kitchen safety standards and hygiene practices.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
Flexibility to adapt to varying workload demands during busy service times.
