About OHM Coaching

OHM Coaching is a community-based coaching company delivering high-quality sports and enrichment activities in primary schools across London. We are passionate about inspiring children to develop new skills, build confidence and enjoy being active in a fun, inclusive environment.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Dance Coach to deliver a weekly dance club at a primary school in Streatham.

The Role

As our Dance Coach, you will lead a fun and engaging 1 hour 15 minute dance session once a week for primary school children. You will introduce pupils to a variety of dance styles and cultures, teaching dances from around the world while encouraging creativity, confidence, coordination and a love of movement.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for dance who enjoys working with children in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging weekly dance sessions for primary-aged children.
Teach a variety of dance styles from around the world, introducing children to different cultures through dance.
Create a fun, safe and inclusive environment where every child feels encouraged to participate.
Support children in developing rhythm, coordination, confidence and performance skills.
Adapt sessions to suit different abilities and age groups.
Manage behaviour positively in line with the school's policies.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children throughout each session.
Represent OHM Coaching professionally at all times.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Passionate about dance and inspiring young people.
Enthusiastic, reliable and professional.
Confident leading groups of primary-aged children.
A strong communicator with excellent organisational skills.
Able to create engaging and enjoyable dance sessions for children of all abilities.

Desirable (but not essential)

Experience teaching or coaching dance.
Experience working with children in a school, club or community setting.
Dance teaching or coaching qualifications.
Knowledge of a range of dance styles and cultural dances.
Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

What We Offer

£30 per session (1 hour 15 minutes).
Term-time only work.
