Full job description

Location: Romford
Hours: 24 hours per week over 3 or 4 days (Monday to Friday)
Salary: £14.80 per hour (London Real Living Wage)

Are you an organised and proactive Stores Person with a can-do attitude? Do you enjoy working independently, staying organised and supporting a busy engineering team?

TP Fire & Security is a leading BAFE-accredited provider of fire protection and security solutions. With over 30 years of experience, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service to our customers across the UK.

We are looking for a reliable and well-organised Stores Person to join our busy Romford branch on a permanent part-time basis.

This is a hands-on role where you'll play a vital part in supporting our engineers by ensuring the right equipment, parts and materials are available when needed. You'll help maintain an efficient stores operation, accurate stock records and a safe, organised working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, check and book in deliveries.
Organise and maintain a clean, safe and tidy stores area.
Issue parts and equipment to engineers and subcontractors.
Prepare engineer parts and materials ready for planned works.
Maintain accurate stock records and assist with stock replenishment.
Process supplier returns and warranty returns.
Support regular stock checks and investigate stock discrepancies.
Assist with asset tracking and equipment management.
Liaise with suppliers regarding parts and deliveries.
Work closely with the engineering and management teams to ensure stock availability.
Support general warehouse and logistics duties as required.

Experience:

Previous experience within a stores, warehouse or stock control role.
Good IT skills with the ability to learn new systems.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
Excellent communication skills.
A positive, flexible approach to work.
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role is desirable.
