We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Finance Team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to support a wide range of financial activities, helping services effectively manage their budgets and financial processes.

As a Finance Assistant, you will undertake a variety of finance-related tasks including purchase orders, payments, journal transfers, budget monitoring and support and responding to finance queries, contributing to the efficient operation of the team and supporting sound financial management across the organisation.

We offer training and support to develop skills and knowledge within local government finance, including opportunities to work towards a recognised finance qualification and gain valuable experience in a broad range of financial disciplines

We are looking for an individual who has excellent communication skills, good IT skills (especially using Excel), someone who is self-motivated and who can work as an individual or part of a team.

You must have 4 GCSE's passes at Grade C or above (or equivalent) including English and Maths and a knowledge of using General Ledger systems would be deisrable.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your finance career within a supportive and professional Finance Team.
