Foxtons is London’s leading estate agency, known for our innovative approach to property sales and lettings. We use data, technology and analytics to support better decision-making across the business and help our teams operate more effectively.
Our Business Analytics team plays a key role in this, delivering reporting, insights and analytical tools that support commercial performance, customer experience and operational efficiency.
We are looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join the team. This is an entry-level role and would suit a graduate or early-career analyst with some hands-on Power BI experience, either through work experience, an internship, a placement, a personal project or an online course.
The role will be predominantly focused on Power BI development, maintaining and improving existing reporting, owning report changes, and helping users across the business understand and act on the data available to them. There will also be opportunities to use SQL and Python where applicable.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Junior Data Analyst, you will support the delivery, maintenance and improvement of reporting across the business.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Power BI dashboard development – Building, maintaining and improving Power BI reports and dashboards used by teams across the business.
- Owning reporting changes – Managing updates to existing reports, gathering requirements, making changes, testing outputs and ensuring updates are clearly documented.
- Presenting reports to users – Supporting stakeholders in understanding reports, explaining key metrics and presenting data in a clear, practical way.
- Improving reporting quality – Helping ensure reports are accurate, user-friendly, visually clear and aligned with business needs.
- Working with SQL – Using SQL to query, extract and check data from our databases, with support from more experienced members of the team.
- Using Python where applicable – Applying Python for analysis, automation or data preparation where it adds value.
- Collaborating with the wider team – Working with analysts and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, define KPIs and improve how data is used across the business.
Supporting data quality and governance – Helping to identify issues, validate outputs and maintain confidence in the data used for reporting.
-
This is an entry-level role, so we do not expect you to know everything. We are looking for someone with strong potential, curiosity and a genuine interest in data and reporting.
To succeed in this role, you’ll ideally have:
- Power BI experience – Some practical experience building dashboards or reports in Power BI. This could come from a course, university project, internship, work experience or personal portfolio.
- Basic DAX knowledge – An understanding of measures, calculated columns and how to create useful metrics in Power BI.
- An interest in dashboard design – A good eye for clear, simple reporting and an interest in making dashboards easy for users to understand.
- Basic SQL knowledge – Familiarity with querying data, including joins, filters and aggregations. You do not need to be an expert, but you should be keen to develop this skill.
- Some exposure to Python – Experience with Python would be useful, particularly for data analysis or automation, but this is not essential.
- Attention to detail – You care about accuracy, consistency and making sure reporting outputs are reliable.
- Analytical mindset – You enjoy solving problems, asking questions and turning data into practical insight.
- Communication skills – You are comfortable explaining information clearly to both technical and non-technical users.
- Curiosity about AI and automation – An interest in how tools such as Copilot and AI can support analysis, reporting and productivity.
- Willingness to learn – You are proactive, open to feedback and excited to build your skills in a fast-paced business environment.
- This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work from home for part of the week. However, we believe this role will suit someone who enjoys being in the office, learning from others face-to-face and building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.
As an entry-level position, time in the office will be valuable for training, collaboration and developing a strong understanding of how the business uses data.
Why Join Us?
- Competitive Salary – £35,000 depending on experience.
