CNC Setter / Programmer

Location: Southam, Warwickshire
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £37,440–£41,600 per year, depending on experience

RM Design & Engineering Ltd is a growing design and engineering company specialising in high-quality tooling, jigs and fixtures for a wide range of industries.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced CNC Setter / Programmer to join our production team.

The Role

You will be responsible for programming, setting and operating our large 5-axis CMS CNC machines, producing tooling and components from CAD data.

This role would suit someone who enjoys varied, hands-on work and wants to be part of a small, skilled and supportive engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

Program, set and operate large 5-axis CMS CNC machines
Manufacture tooling and components from CAD data
Create and optimise CNC programs using CAM software
Use Autodesk PowerMill, with training available for candidates experienced in other CAM systems
Read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD models
Monitor machining operations and maintain quality standards
Support other production activities when required
Work with the team to meet deadlines and customer requirements

Candidate Requirements

Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC machines
Experience using CAD/CAM software
Ability to read engineering drawings
Good understanding of machining processes and tooling
Strong attention to detail
Reliable, practical and able to work independently
Positive attitude and good teamwork skills

Experience with large-format or 5-axis CNC machines is desirable, but training can be provided for the right candidate.

Salary and Benefits

£37,440–£41,600 per year, depending on experience
Overtime paid at 1.5 times the standard hourly rate
