Full job description

We are an independent used car dealership based in Southampton, looking for a confident, motivated and proactive Car Sales Executive to join our fast-paced sales environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys speaking with customers, has a genuine interest in cars, and is comfortable working in a busy dealership where no two days are the same. The ideal candidate will be organised, target-driven and able to deliver a professional customer experience from first enquiry through to vehicle handover.

Responsibilities include:

Engaging with prospective customers to understand their vehicle needs, budget and preferences
Presenting and demonstrating vehicles effectively, highlighting key features and benefits
Handling customer enquiries professionally by phone, email, online leads and face-to-face
Following up with potential leads via phone calls, emails and in-person meetings to build relationships and convert sales
Organising appointments for test drives and vehicle viewings
Ensuring a smooth and positive customer experience throughout the sales process
Working with the sales team to achieve individual and team targets
Assisting with vehicle handovers and ensuring customers leave satisfied
Keeping the showroom, forecourt and vehicles presentable
Maintaining accurate customer records and following up leads in a timely manner

What we’re looking for:

Previous car sales experience is preferred, but not essential for the right person
B2B sales experience is advantageous but not required
Excellent communication skills and professional phone etiquette
Confident, friendly and comfortable dealing with customers
Proactive approach with a strong willingness to learn
Organised, motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Target-driven mindset
Full UK driving licence preferred
Multilingual or bilingual skills are highly advantageous, as we deal with a diverse range of customers

Pay: £24,420.00-£66,000.00 per year
