Role Purpose
To support Cinergi’s Solar PV installation teams by carrying out roofing works associated with the installation of solar photovoltaic systems on domestic and commercial properties.
The role involves working alongside Solar PV installers and electricians to ensure roofing works are completed safely, professionally, and to a high standard. The successful candidate will assist with roof preparation, mounting systems, weatherproofing, roof repairs, and associated roofing activities required during renewable energy installations.
This role is ideally suited to an experienced roofer looking to develop skills within the fast-growing renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Assist with roofing works associated with Solar PV installations
- Remove and reinstate roof coverings where required
- Install solar mounting systems and roof fixings in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
- Ensure all roof penetrations and fixings are weatherproofed correctly
- Carry out minor roof repairs and remedial works where necessary
- Work safely at height using appropriate access equipment and fall protection systems
- Support Solar PV installers and electricians during installations
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as required
- Maintain clean and tidy work areas on-site
- Ensure works are completed to a high standard of workmanship
- Identify and report any roof defects or safety concerns to management
- Complete work in accordance with company procedures, manufacturer requirements, and health & safety regulations
- Represent the company professionally when working in customers’ homes and commercial premises
- Work collaboratively with installation teams, surveyors, and office staff
Desirable Skills
- Previous roofing experience essential
- Experience working on tiled and slate roofs desirable
- Experience with Solar PV installations beneficial, but not essential
- Good understanding of safe working at height practices
- Ability to use hand tools and roofing equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence desirable
Qualifications & Training
- CSCS Card (desirable)
- Working at Height certification
- Asbestos Awareness
- PASMA / IPAF (desirable)
- First Aid at Work (desirable)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,500.00-£28,000.00 per year
