Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary experience, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. The successful applicant will play a vital role in creating innovative menus and inspiring the kitchen team to achieve excellence.

Duties

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Oversee food safety protocols, hygiene standards, and cleanliness within the kitchen environment.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
Develop new menu ideas in collaboration with management to keep offerings fresh and appealing.
Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor portion control and presentation to uphold brand standards.
Maintain a organised kitchen workspace conducive to safety and efficiency.

Requirements

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Supervising experience with the ability to manage teams effectively.
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with restaurant operations, serving procedures, and customer service standards.
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential.
Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.
