Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. This role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and inspiring the team to achieve excellence in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing food production, supervising staff, and maintaining high-quality standards across all aspects of the kitchen.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met.
Manage food production schedules, inventory control, and ordering supplies to optimise efficiency.
Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Monitor kitchen operations to optimise workflow, minimise waste, and control costs.
Train and mentor staff on culinary techniques, safety procedures, and customer service excellence.
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Maintain organisation of the kitchen workspace, ensuring cleanliness and safety protocols are adhered to consistently.

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting.
Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation.
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
Experience in menu development and culinary innovation.
Excellent leadership qualities with a focus on training and staff development.
Previous restaurant experience is essential; hospitality background is highly desirable.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Exceptional organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary professional eager to lead a talented team while delivering outstanding dining experiences.
