Full job description

Overview

Join our vibrant bakery team as a Bakery Assistant and be a key player in serving delicious baked goods that delight our customers! This energetic role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, friendly environment where your culinary skills and passion for food preparation shine.

Duties

Assist in preparing and baking baked goods, following established quality standards.
Be competent in serving customers and learning our till system.
Prepare buffets and filled roles for our customers
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace to ensure compliance with food safety regulations
Help with packaging finished products for sale or distribution while ensuring presentation meets company standards
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when stock needs replenishing
Follow all food safety procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards and prevent contamination

Experience

Prior experience in food preparation or kitchen environments is highly desirable
Knowledge of baking techniques and familiarity with bakery equipment enhances your ability to succeed in this role
Experience working in a restaurant or food service setting demonstrates your ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
Understanding of food safety practices ensures compliance with health regulations and maintains product quality
Previous kitchen experience provides a strong foundation for learning specific bakery processes and recipes
