Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food service and hospitality, and who thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Kitchen Porter, you will support chefs and kitchen staff by ensuring that all kitchen areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked.

Duties

Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment promptly.
Support banquet and catering events by setting up and breaking down service areas.
Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing work surfaces.
Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
A passion for culinary arts and hospitality is highly desirable.
