Kitchen Manager / Head Chef

Thundercat Pub Diner – Glasgow City Centre

£15.40 per hour + £100–£150 weekly tronc
Average annual earnings: £43,500
Additional monthly bonus scheme worth up to £3,600 per year
45–48 hours per week
4-Day Working Week
Full-Time Permanent Position

Thundercat Pub Diner is looking for an experienced and motivated Kitchen Manager / Head Chef to lead our busy kitchen in the heart of Glasgow city centre.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment, leads from the front, and knows how to build a strong, positive kitchen culture. If you’re passionate about quality food, fast-paced service and developing a successful team, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all day-to-day kitchen operations
Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen team
Maintain consistently high food quality and presentation standards
Ensure food safety, hygiene and kitchen compliance standards are met at all times
Manage stock control, ordering and kitchen organisation
Work closely with management to deliver smooth and efficient service
Support recruitment, training and development within the kitchen team
Drive performance, standards and consistency during busy services

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
Passion for quality food and team development
Good understanding of stock control, kitchen management and labour control
Calm under pressure with a hands-on leadership style
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
