Staffordshire Wildlife Trust are seeking;

Catering Assistant Sessional workers – up to 3 vacancies

At The Kingfisher Cafe, Wolseley Centre, Wolseley Bridge, ST17 0WT

Contract Type: Sessional

Salary: National Minimum Wage

We are currently seeking multiple Cafe Assistants to cover hours during the week but also to cover other hours at weekends, holidays and occasional cover at our Kingfisher Café within the Wolseley Visitor Centre.

About You:

The ideal candidate will be of a friendly, professional personality to support the Assistant Catering Manager in the day-to-day food & beverage operations.

We are looking for people with:

Effective communication skills
Good numeracy and literacy skills
Good organisational skills
Catering experience is not essential but willing and able to learn quickly

About the Role

This is a busy cafe, so you will need to work well under pressure, have excellent standards of hygiene, be flexible, and work as part of a team to always provide excellent customer service.

A registered charity established in 1969, we are one of 46 county Wildlife Trusts throughout the UK and are supported by over 18,000members.

The Trust owns or manages 45 nature reserves covering an area of over 1900 hectares. We have around 130 staff, based in six locations around the county including our Headquarters at Wolseley Bridge, Stafford, with our work divided up into four departments: Conservation Delivery & Engagement, Fundraising and Development, HR & Support Services, and Resources. The Trust has a diverse workforce including site wardens, wildlife surveyors, community and education officers, catering, retail and administration.

In addition, we have a trading company which looks after the trading side of our business. This includes a café at The Wolseley Centre, a charity shop in Codsall, and a retail shop in the Wolseley Centre.
