Full job description

Due to business growth, Morgan Douglas Student Lettings are seeking Full-Time member of our Property Management and Lettings team, working across Compliance, Property Management, and Lettings, as dictated by the needs of the business.

We are looking for candidates who are energetic, enthusiastic and highly organised, who enjoy working in a close-knit team in Durham City Centre. This position requires you to have excellent communication skills, first class customer service, and the ability to think on your feet.

Previous Property Management experience, or an understanding of legislation, is preferred, but on the job training will be provided for the right candidate. Salary negotiable depending on experience with development and growth opportunities available for the right candidate.

The Property Management, Compliance and Administration Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of our properties. Roles and responsibilities will be as listed below;

Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations both in-house and across our large student lettings portfolio
Handling of day-to-day enquiries via phone, message platforms, email and face to face
Liaising on a daily basis with tenants and clients
Recording and arranging safety checks via preferred suppliers
Arranging HMO applications and liaising with the council for inspections
Arranging remedial works as required
Working within the maintenance team to ensure issues are resolved swiftly
Arranging property inspections and tenancy deposits
Visiting properties and carrying out weekly fire alarm testing

Skills & Experience

Previous property experience is advantageous although training will be provided
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications
Commitment and awareness of changing seasonal workloads
Ability to meet deadlines and team goals
General administration experience
Ability to think on your feet and focus on solutions

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £24,800.00-£27,000.00 per year
