Mission

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, delivering a warm, genuine, and professional welcome that reflects the Meliá brand. You will play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences, ensuring smooth front desk operations, and contributing to the overall success of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities – Guest Experience & Operations

Welcome guests and complete check-in and check-out procedures in a professional, friendly, and informative manner, addressing guests by name whenever possible
Project a helpful, enthusiastic, and service-oriented attitude, anticipating guest needs and exceeding expectations wherever possible
Maintain full awareness of daily availability and actively promote up-selling and cross-selling opportunities to maximise occupancy and revenue
Accurately present and process guest accounts, including company and agency billing, ensuring correct documentation and invoices are provided
Ensure all guest registration cards are completed accurately and filed correctly, maintaining up-to-date contact details
Observe and comply with all security, health & safety, and emergency procedures
Act responsibly and confidently during emergency situations in line with hotel policies
Carry out all duties in accordance with relevant legislation and company standards
Support the wider front office team and undertake any additional reasonable duties as required by management

What we’re looking for

Previous experience in a similar receptionist or front office role
Knowledge of OPERA PMS
Fluency in English (additional Spanish language skills are an advantage)
Strong communication and customer service skills
A professional, positive, and proactive attitude
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment
Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
