Full job description

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Radiology Assistant to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at One Hatfield Hospital, part of Phoenix Hospital Group. This part-time, permanent role is essential for supporting radiologists in delivering high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will assist in various radiological procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and maintaining patient comfort and safety throughout their experience.

Responsibilities:

Assist radiologists in performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs.
Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort.
Maintain and operate radiological equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Manage patient records and documentation accurately and efficiently.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the radiology department.
Assist in the scheduling of patient appointments and follow-up procedures.
Support the radiology team in administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare or radiology setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Basic knowledge of radiological procedures and safety protocols.
