Full job description

We are looking a for skilled and reliable roofer to replace our head man.

10 years minimum experience required, you will be our head Roofer from day one so you need to have a vast amount of knowledge in all types of roofing and roofing repairs.

I’ve seen no end of time wasters who like a drink more than they do like going to work if this is you, DO NOT APPLY.

You will have steady in consistent work every day if you want I do not want People who are not reliable. Zero tolerance for not showing up to work.

Full license required, no exceptions

A van can be provided, although if you have your own Transport, it really will helpyour chances of getting the job.

Our work area is from Cambridge down to Watford and everything in between.

You must consider travel time to get to the Job jobs by 8 am.

Overview

Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
Measure and cut materials accurately using hand tools and power tools.
Prepare roof surfaces by cleaning, patching, and ensuring proper insulation.
Work with a variety of materials such as tiles, shingles, metal sheets, and membranes.
Assist in the fabrication of custom roofing components as needed.
Collaborate with other tradespeople including carpenters, masons, electricians, and plumbers to ensure seamless project execution.
Follow safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on site.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project phase.

Requirements

Proven experience in roofing installation and repair.
Knowledge of related trades such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, or construction painting is advantageous.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in roofing and construction tasks.
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
Relevant certifications or licences related to roofing or construction are preferred but not mandatory.
