About the Role

As an Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing our residents' wellbeing by planning and delivering engaging activities tailored to their individual preferences and abilities.

From arts and crafts, baking sessions, and gardening, to live entertainment, social events, and one-to-one activities, you'll help create meaningful experiences that bring joy, purpose, and companionship to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver a varied programme of group and individual activities.
Create and maintain weekly activity schedules.
Support residents to participate in activities that reflect their interests, hobbies, and personal choices.
Assess residents' social and recreational needs, taking into account their abilities, preferences, and wellbeing goals.
Ensure residents' social care plans are completed and regularly reviewed.
Build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
Assist with other duties as required to support the smooth delivery of care services.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

A confident communicator who enjoys engaging with people.
Organised and able to prioritise tasks effectively.

Dedicated to promoting positive experiences and maintaining residents' interests and independence.

Located in a quiet village on the outskirts of the large market town of Chesterfield, Brimington Care Centre is a purpose-built care home with 42 resident bedrooms. Brimington offers 42 rooms (some of which can be shared if desired), all tastefully decorated and many benefitting from en-suite facilities. Our dedicated and compassionate care team provide residential, dementia and respite care, as well as intermediate care as an alternative to hospital. Within safe and inviting surroundings, our highly skilled team create personalised care plans in conjunction with residents and their loved ones, placing residents’ wellbeing, personal choice, and independence at the front of mind.
