Role: Teaching Assistant – Year 2

Location: Chesterfield

Salary: £95-£105 per day (Depending on experience and/or qualifications)

Contract: September 2026 - July 2027

About the role

Source Supply is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Chesterfield area. This is a full-time position, working five days per week within a Year 2 mainstream classroom.

The successful candidate will work closely alongside the class teacher to support the delivery of high-quality lessons, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. You will play a key role in supporting pupils’ academic progress, personal development, and overall wellbeing throughout the school day.

The school is highly regarded for its friendly and nurturing atmosphere, strong sense of community, and commitment to ensuring that all staff feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed in their roles.

Requirements

Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications and training. All successful applicants will:

- Experience in working with children in a school or specialist setting

- A nurturing, patient and consistent approach

- Have referenceable experience working in a school setting.

- Be passionate about education, with a desire to help young people thrive.

- Be an excellent communicator with a positive, can-do attitude.

- Ideally hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to vehicle.
