Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking an reliable experienced Groundworker to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in groundworks, demonstrating strong technical skills and a commitment to safety and quality.

Duties

Excavate, level, and prepare ground for construction activities using hand tools and machinery
Lay foundations, drainage systems, kerbing, and pavements in accordance with project specifications
Operate machinery including diggers, dumper trucks, and compactors safely and effectively
Ensure the worksite remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
Collaborate with other tradespeople and site managers to meet project deadlines
Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any faults or hazards promptly

Requirements

At least 5 years experience as a Groundworker
Valid CSCS card or equivalent certification preferred
Ability to operate relevant machinery safely and efficiently
Good understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Physical fitness to perform manual tasks over extended periods

We offer competitive self-employed rates.

Full time work 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday with paid breaks. 40 hours a week minimum with potential overtime if wanted.

Pay: From £170.00 per day
