Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high standards of quality and attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for craftsmanship and a keen eye for aesthetics to contribute to diverse projects, from residential to commercial properties.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to painting or decorating
Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
Ensure all work is completed to meet client specifications and safety standards
Assist in the organisation and setup of work sites, including moving materials and equipment as needed
Maintain a clean and safe working environment throughout each project
Collaborate with clients and team members effectively to ensure project requirements are met on time

Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting and decorating or related trade skills
Valid driving licence with the ability to travel between sites as required
Good command of English language, both spoken and written
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Organised with excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes
Physical fitness suitable for manual labour tasks involved in painting and decorating tasks
