Are you a passionate School Nurse or Health Visitor (SCPHN) with valuable experience, eager to make a difference?

With the launch of the innovative CYP 0-19yrs Public Health Service, we are delighted to present a rare opportunity to become a Locality Team Leader in a pioneering team that unites Health Visiting, School Nursing and Family Nurse Partnership. Join us as we shape the future of public health for babies, children, young people and families!

You’ll collaborate with inspiring leaders, help drive and embed our visionary service model throughout the county, and ensure Oxfordshire’s children and families receive outstanding, safe and holistic care.

We have one coveted locality team leader position available in Abingdon, serving the town and its charming surrounding villages. Seize the chance to lead, inspire and transform lives!

This is a fixed term contract due to end September 2027 although there is a potential this may be extended.

In this role, you’ll help manage, coordinate, and provide clinical leadership for your local area within the countywide 0-19 Children and Young People (CYP) Public Health Service. By working closely with the leadership team, you’ll focus on improving health outcomes, tackling inequalities, and keeping children and young people in Oxfordshire safe and well. You’ll do this by offering a service that’s grounded in evidence and tailored to the needs of your community. As a trusted role model for fellow practitioners, you’ll demonstrate professionalism and embrace the Trust’s values and vision. Your positive leadership will inspire your team to achieve the very best results in key areas such as:

Service quality
Controls assurance
Clinical practice
Clinical governance
Compliance with all statutory regulations
