Full job description

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Live-In Care Workers to provide exceptional in-home care and support within the Banchory, Tarland and Alford areas . The successful candidates will support clients with their daily needs, personal care , household tasks , community-based activities ensuring their comfort, safety, wellbeing is always adhered to and is in line with the clients individualised assessments and care /support plan . This role offers an enriching opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives while working within a supportive team environment. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills, be flexible and adaptable in their approach working in ways which enhances clients independence through mutual trust and respect and within company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as showering, dressing, and grooming
Support with medication administration following prescribed medication guidelines
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
Assist with mobility, moving and positioning and using tailored mobility equipment
Manage behavioural challenges associated with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive conditions
Maintain accurate records of care/Support provided and any changes in health needs
Support clients with household tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organising their living space
Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation

Experience and Qualifications

Previous care sector experience preferred but not essential as full training and mentoring will be provided .
Valid driving licence preferred but not essential
SVQ 2 or willingness to gain qualifications
Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families
Ability to perform moving and positioning tasks
Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve clients’ quality of life
Flexibility to work various shifts as required for live-in arrangements
