About Us

School of Coding is an established education and training provider, delivering digital skills, coding and wider learning support to children, young people and adults across the UK and Europe.

Role Overview

Classroom Support: Assisting in classroom activities, which may include:

Assisting with lesson preparation and planning.
Setting up equipment and materials for lessons.
Helping students with assignments or classwork.
Teaching and supervising students during activities
Providing additional explanations or assistance to individual students who need extra
help.

Grading and Assessment: Teaching assistant may be responsible for:

Grading assignments, quizzes, exams, or other assessments.
Providing feedback to students on their work.
Recording grades and maintaining accurate records of student performance.

Tutoring and Small Group Instruction: Teaching assistant may work with students

individually or in small groups to provide:

Additional support for students who are struggling with the material.
Enrichment activities for students who need extra challenges.
Remedial instruction to help students catch up on missed concepts.

Administrative Tasks: Teaching assistant may be required to perform various administrative

duties, such as:

Setting up and maintaining classroom technology.
Organising and maintaining classroom materials and supplies.
Communicating with parents or guardians about student progress or behaviour.
Attending staff meetings or professional development sessions.
Provide daily progress reports for pupils to track their academic development.

What You’ll Bring

2 or more GCSEs at grades 9 to 3 (A* to D), or equivalent, for a level 2 course
4-5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, for a level 3 course
4-5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, including English and maths for a T level
Ability to communicate clearly with teachers and younger individuals
Ability to create an encouraging learning environment for pupils
Active listening skills
Understanding and sensitivity towards children
Excellent knowledge of lessons that pupils are required to learn in class
Ability to carry out tasks involving a computer or hand-device
Ability to remain calm during stressful situations
Willingness to work on different activities conducted inside and outside school premises
