Full job description

The servicing and cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas under the instructions of the Head Housekeeper, to the standards required

Main Duties and Responsibilities

To thoroughly clean all bedrooms and bathrooms as per check lists ensuring that all necessary sundry items linen and towels are in the room and in good condition.
To ensure that all areas are cleaned and maintained to the standards expected.
To keep corridors clear of linen, towels, rubbish, room service trays and other articles.
To check that all items supplied from the linen room / stores are to the quality demanded and to advise the head housekeeper of any discrepancies.
To have a full working knowledge of all equipment and chemicals
To be aware of costs and expenditure and to avoid unnecessary wastage
To ensure that all bedroom and service equipment is in good working order.
To ensure the correct procedure is followed when dealing with lost property.
To report any maintenance defects to the Head Housekeeper immediately.
To ensure that ‘deep cleaning’ is carried out in all bedrooms as instructed.
To observe all Company Rules and Regulations as stated in the staff handbook.
To maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and general appearance
To observe all Company Fire, Security and Health and Safety Regulations
To report any complaints to the Head Housekeeper
To maintain excellent guest relations
To promote good communication and teamwork within and between departments
To participate in any training or career development schemes as recommended.

Hours will be roughly 9am - 3pm Saturday and Sunday . Successful candidate will work between public areas and guests bedrooms depending on hotel demand.

Full training will be given in the form of a buddy system.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.71 per hour
