Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pizza Chef to join our authentic Italian restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality pizzas, ensuring all dishes meet our established standards of flavour and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase culinary talents in a vibrant, customer-focused environment. The successful applicant will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen experience, with a keen eye for detail and food safety compliance.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Italian pizzas according to recipes and customer specifications.
Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used efficiently to minimise waste.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pizza station, adhering to food safety standards at all times.
Assist in meal preparation for other dishes as required, supporting overall kitchen operations.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure perfect results consistently.
Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent service and a memorable dining experience.
Follow health and safety regulations diligently, including proper handling of equipment and ingredients.
Contribute to maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for both colleagues and guests.

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation, preferably within a restaurant or catering environment.
Strong cooking skills with specific expertise in pizza making or Italian cuisine is highly desirable.
Knowledge of kitchen safety protocols and food hygiene standards.
Previous restaurant experience involving meal preparation and serving is advantageous.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a busy kitchen setting.
