We have a role available within the Portsmouth and South East Hampshire locality.
HIOWH Children's Therapy Service has an integrated model of care across Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Podiatry working together to provide holistic support with children and their families at the centre of what we do. We have excellent working relationships with early years services, schools, health and social care colleagues. This enables us to support children and the wider community to develop creative and innovative ways of working together to better meet the needs of both the child and their family.

Main duties, tasks & skills required
To organise and deliver therapy activities as part of the agreed intervention plan for children and young people and their supporting adults as directed by registered staff.
To hold and manage a define caseload.
To have an operational management responsibility within the Therapy Assistant team as delegated by Locality Manager.
To be responsible for supporting band 3 therapy assistants, including management supervision, mentoring, clinical training and advice.
To assist the therapist in carrying out interventions, ordering equipment and developing resources to ensure the smooth running of the service.
HIOWH NHS Foundation Trust's Integrated Children's Therapy service is for children aged 0-19 who experience challenges with Physical disability, daily functional activities, eating and drinking skills, speech, language and communication.
This is a community service delivered in children's homes, pre-school settings, Children's Centres, mainstream schools, special schools, and community clinics.
Physiotherapists, podiatry, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists work together with children and their families as part of multi-agency teams with Health Care professionals across acute and community services, Education, social care colleagues and Equipment providers, to enable children achieve their therapy goals.
