Security Officer (SIA Licensed) – Throckmorton, Worcestershire

This is not a sit-down role.
You will be on your feet, outdoors, actively controlling vehicle and pedestrian access to a busy commercial estate. If you are looking for a quiet guard hut posting, this is not for you.
The role requires:
- Physical fitness — you will be active throughout your shift
- Smart, professional appearance — full uniform provided including high-visibility load vest, cap, and military/police-style uniform
- iPhone literacy — you will use digital systems for logging, reporting, and communications
- A 05:45 on-site arrival for a 06:00 prompt start
- Monday to Friday, 06:00–18:00 including bank holidays
- Excellent communication at all levels — from site workers to senior management
- Sharp attention to detail and constant situational awareness
You must:
- Hold a valid SIA licence
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Be fully vettable to BS7858 standard
- Be reliable, professional, and take pride in your appearance and conduct
Responsibilities:
- Enforce company policies and procedures relating to security protocols and safety regulations
- Check vehicles at the main entrance to maintain strict access control to the estate
- Liaise with law enforcement and emergency services during incidents requiring external intervention
- Assist visitors and staff by providing directions and information while maintaining a professional presence
Qualifications:
- Valid SIA licence is required
- Right to work in the UK
- Fully vettable to BS7858 standard
- Previous experience in security or surveillance roles preferred but not essential — training provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of CCTV operation, alarm systems, and loss prevention techniques is advantageous
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- IT literate with ability to use digital systems and devices for reporting and record-keeping
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively during emergencies
- Good level of physical fitness — this is an active role, not desk-based
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work flexible hours as required
