Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate GP Practice Nurse to join our team on a part-time, fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality patient care within a supportive primary care environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing services, supporting the clinical team, and ensuring patient safety and well-being. The position is ideal for a motivated nurse looking to utilise their skills in a busy general practice setting.

Responsibilities

Delivering patient care through assessments, health education, and support tailored to individual needs
Assisting with minor illness clinics, health screenings, and chronic disease management programmes
Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records in line with data protection regulations
Supporting the clinical team with administrative duties as required
Ensuring infection control standards are upheld within the practice environment
Providing guidance and support to patients on health promotion and disease prevention strategies

Qualifications

Registered General Nurse (RGN) with valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
Proven experience in patient care within a primary care or similar healthcare setting
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to general practice nursing
Competent in medication administration, including injections and wound care procedures
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
