Residential Support Worker – Children's Residential Care (EBD & Learning Disabilities)

Location: LE11, Loughborough

Salary: £27,500 + £65 per sleep-in

Expected Earnings: Up to £36,000 per year

Hours: 40 hours per week

Expected Start Date: 27th July 2026

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Elmdale Care is opening a brand-new 3-bed therapeutic children's home in Loughborough and we're looking for Residential Support Workers to help build something special from day one.

Supporting children and young people with EBD, Learning Disabilities, Autism, trauma, and complex needs, you'll play an important role in creating a safe, nurturing, and positive home environment.

Your Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will help provide a safe, stable, and supportive home environment where children can thrive.

You will:

Build positive relationships with young people
Support daily routines, education, appointments, and activities
Promote independence, confidence, and life skills
Deliver care plans and behavioural support strategies
Maintain safeguarding and professional boundaries
Undertake key working responsibilities where appropriate
Complete daily recordings and reports
Work closely with families and professionals to achieve positive outcomes

What We're Looking For

Essential

Experience working with children and young people
Reliable, resilient, and child-centred approach
Strong safeguarding awareness
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Right to work in the UK

Desirable

Experience in children's residential care
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Experience supporting children with EBD, Learning Disabilities or Autism
Full UK Driving Licence
DBS Update Service subscription
