Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide high-quality support to individuals in a care home or home care setting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be proficient in IT, and have a genuine desire to improve the lives of those they assist. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working within a supportive team environment. Applicants should be confident in driving and familiar with care plans to ensure personalised care delivery.

Duties

Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Support clients in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring their needs and preferences are met
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and update care plans as necessary
Drive clients to appointments, social activities, or errands safely and responsibly
Monitor clients’ health and report any concerns to healthcare professionals or supervisors
Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times by adhering to health and safety protocols
Collaborate effectively with team members, healthcare professionals, and family members to deliver consistent care

Experience

Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Familiarity with creating or following care plans is advantageous
Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes are required
Good communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members
Driving experience and a valid driving licence are highly desirable, as the role involves transporting clients safely
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to care work is beneficial
