Cedar House is a well-established nursery with a dedicated and hardworking team who are passionate about ensuring every opportunity is filled with love, laughter, curiosity, and learning. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven Nursery Manager to join a supportive team and lead an exceptional early years setting..

Job Purpose:

The responsibilities include:

Daily running and administration of the nursery.
To lead the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage including overseeing planning and record keeping.
Lead, mentor and inspire an long established team to deliver exceptional care, education and provide feedback to create a consistent approach of early years practice to include but not limited to regular 1:1 meetings, supervisions and appraisals;
Managing staff ratios, waiting list, registration visits and ensuring the nursery is at full occupancy.
Responsibility for full compliance of the nursery setting in all areas – i.e., health and safety, food safety and allergy management;
Implement and reinforce the company policies, procedures, and processes.
Providing parents with information, support and communication that is required.
Working closely with external support agencies.
Delivering standards which ensure the highest possible inspection grading.
Implement in-house and external training to suit the needs of the staff team, and one that inspires and leads ambitious practice, and helps professional and personal development.
To create a safe, caring, and welcoming setting in which parents are happy to entrust their child, and where their child is encouraged and supported to flourish in an enabling and stimulating environment.
Provide new staff with tailored inductions and ensure close performance monitoring.
To act as an ambassador for the Nursery in all aspects of work. To be aware of the high profile and good standing the nursery holds within the community, and to ensure this is upheld at all times.

Skills/Qualifications:

A full and relevant level 3 qualification or above
DBS enhanced disclosure
Safeguarding training and qualification
Minimum of 3 year’s post qualifying experience
Sound IT skills and ability to use Microsoft Office programmes, social media platforms and online portals effectively
Outstanding implementation of the OFSTED standards/regulations
Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
Good understanding of SEND support provision

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Ability to commute/relocate:

Mansfield, Nottinghamshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

Childcare: 3 years (required)
Management: 1 year (preferred)
Nursery: 3 years (required)
