Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and passionate Breakfast Chef or Commis Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast dishes, ensuring each meal meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Your enthusiasm for food preparation and culinary excellence will contribute to creating a memorable dining experience for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic kitchen environment while delivering exceptional breakfast offerings.

Duties

Prepare and cook a range of breakfast items, including eggs, pancakes, pastries, and other morning specialties
Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards throughout all stages of meal preparation
Support the kitchen team during busy periods, ensuring timely service without compromising quality
Assist in plating and presenting dishes attractively to enhance guest satisfaction
Follow recipes and kitchen procedures accurately to ensure consistency in every dish served
Keep the work area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary ingredients and supplies

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Demonstrated skills in food preparation and cooking techniques suitable for breakfast cuisine
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
Experience with meal preparation from scratch, including basic baking and cooking methods
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Serving experience is advantageous but not essential; a positive attitude toward guest service is key
