Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and early childhood education to children in a nurturing and safe environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your knowledge of the EYFS while working closely with children to support their developmental needs. Applicants should have relevant preschool experience and a genuine interest in early childhood education.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
Supervise children ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Foster a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children to thrive
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
Collaborate with colleagues to organise routines, outings, and special events
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and behaviour
Support the implementation of nursery policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards
Assist in the organisation of staff rotas and manage team members when required
Contribute to the overall organisation and management of the nursery setting

Requirements

Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and safeguarding procedures
Genuine passion for childcare and early childhood development
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) are essential

This role is ideal for motivated individuals committed to making a positive impact on young children's lives through professional childcare practice.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
