Fire & Security Alarm Engineer

Location: Wolverhampton
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Start from £38,000 per annum (depending on experience) + benefits

About Us

UK Security & Fire Ltd are a well-established and growing fire & security company based in Wolverhampton delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, and support services to a wide range of commercial and residential clients. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Fire & Security Alarm Engineer to join our team.

The Role

As a Fire & Security Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm and security systems across various client sites.

Key Responsibilities

Installation, servicing, and fault-finding of:
Fire alarm systems (conventional & addressable)
Intruder alarms
CCTV systems
Access control systems
Carrying out routine maintenance and inspections
Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently
Ensuring all work complies with current UK standards and regulations
Completing job reports and documentation accurately
Providing excellent customer service on-site

Requirements

Proven experience in fire and security systems (minimum [X] years preferred)
Strong knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. BS5839, BS7671)
Experience with leading system brands (e.g. Gent, Advanced, Hikvision, Texecom, Paxton)
Full UK Manual driving licence
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable (but not essential)

FIA qualifications or equivalent
ECS/CSCS card
Experience working in residential and commercial environments
