Please Note: We are moving to new purpose built premises in Lichfield later this year.

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Fabricator Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding to exact tolerances with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will help us produce high-quality products that meet strict industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilising advanced welding techniques and fabrication skills to contribute to our company’s success. Duties

Small batch work with a good variety of products and not all jig work,
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine specifications for fabrication and welding projects
Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), welding techniques to join various metals with precision
Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure accurate dimensions and quality control throughout fabrication processes
Set up and operate rigging equipment such as cranes for lifting heavy materials safely during assembly or installation
Maintain a clean and organised work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times

Experience

Due to working with the Ministry of Defence this vacancy is only open to British Nationals
Proven experience working with metal fabrication or welding projects in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated proficiency in MIG, TIG welding techniques; highly desirable
Strong ability to read technical drawings accurately
Familiarity with using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools and rigging equipment
Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks
Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment is an advantage but not essential as training can be given
