Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile General Assistant - Kitchen & FOH to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across both front-of-house and kitchen operations, ensuring a seamless experience for our guests. The successful candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for food safety and guest service. Previous experience in hospitality, food preparation, or related fields is highly desirable. This paid position provides valuable exposure to the hospitality industry, with opportunities for professional development and career growth.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and food safety regulations
Support front-of-house operations, including serving guests and managing table settings
Deliver exceptional guest services by attending to customer needs promptly and courteously
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas
Handle meal preparation tasks such as plating, garnishing, and basic cooking duties
Manage phone etiquette when taking reservations or answering guest inquiries
Support delivery drivers with the transportation of supplies or orders when required
Ensure adherence to food safety standards and hygiene protocols at all times
Assist in setting up and clearing tables, as well as restocking supplies in both FOH and kitchen areas

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or hotel environments is advantageous
Food preparation skills including cooking, meal assembly, or culinary experience preferred
Delivery driver experience is a plus but not essential
Familiarity with food safety standards and procedures is desirable
Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on polite phone etiquette and guest interaction
Experience in barista work or serving roles will be considered an asset
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
